Job Description
The Facilities Technician is responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of areas that fall under the Facility Maintenance group. This position will maintain the daily operation of the utilities systems which provide steam boilers, compressed air, refrigeration, water and HVAC. This candidate will also be monitoring and maintaining fire systems.
Primary Responsibilities
STEAM SYSTEM: Operation and maintenance of the R.O system, deaerator, boilers and plant steam network with associated point of use devices. Will also analyze the water feeding the boilers and do the proper chemical adjustments needed.
REFRIGERATION SYSTEM: Operation and maintenance of the ammonia compressors, condensers, evaporators ammonia and glycol pumps and all associated point of use devices.
AIR SYSTEM: Operation and maintenance of the air compressors and all associated point of use devices.
WATER SYSTEM: Operation and maintenance of the well and water pressurized pump system. Will also analyze the water and do the proper chemical adjustments as needed.
HVACs: Monitoring and maintenance of the units.
WWPT: Major repairs only (monitoring and maintenance done by the operators).
Will record all assigned tasks and labor hours in the L2L software.
Will perform regular rounds in the entire site and roofs to monitor equipment and record data(s).Will perform daily cleanup to follow site GMP's.
Become an active member of the HAZMAT team.
Follow and administer all PSM requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Associates Degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.
Must be able to read and understand Schematics, Technical Drawings and Technical Manuals.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in related field in an industrial setting is preferred.
Must be able to Troubleshoot Steam, Refrigeration, Air, Water, HVAC, WWPT System.
Basic computer skills including Google Suite and L2L.
Must be able to do basic math.
Must be a team player.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
Must be able to work with limited supervision.
Must be able to climb ladders and do work on aerial work platform as needed.
Must be willing to help train peers.
Must be able to cover other days and weekends as needed.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
