Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Description
Successful applicants must have strong communication skills. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, have a good work ethic, and be a team player. Position requires follow through on commitments, and a strong attention for details. Candidate must have the ability to prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
â ¢Supervises all facets of a production area consisting of multiple production cells/lines/areas and shifts.
â ¢Leads the creation of action plans and manages efforts to achieve area/plant goals.
â ¢Teaches, coaches, and facilitates problem solving, project management, and application of Autoliv Production System (APS) principles.
â ¢Verifies processes and standards are being followed and improved.
â ¢Responsible for development, performance, and continuous improvement of all production shifts of assigned lines/cells/areas.
â ¢May rotate shift assignments.
â ¢Establishes roles, responsibilities and expectations for team members and follows-up on performance.
â ¢Improves capability of team members through coaching, teaching and appropriate tasking.
â ¢Ensures that associates are adequately trained, that work is performed in a safe and efficient manner/environment, and that safety incidents are thoroughly investigated with effective corrective actions.
â ¢Works to create a positive work environment.
â ¢Ensures communication and feedback flows up, down, and across all levels and shifts/teams as needed.
â ¢Ensures adequate resources, including support personnel, are available and that customer standards are maintained.
â ¢Monitors daily operations of a unit (work team) and actively assists or provides direction to team members as required utilizing established policies and procedures.
â ¢Handles employment issues where job action (such as formal discipline) may result, involving management and/or Human Resources as appropriate.
â ¢Completes performance reviews.
â ¢Determines and requests resources as necessary.
â ¢Have good listening skills and the ability to work independently.
â ¢Perform other duties as may be assigned.
â ¢Must have strong computer skills in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Preferred candidates will have successfully completed a Business and/or Engineering at an accredited university.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
