Location Description:
The Post Consumer Brands plant in Tremonton, Utah is part of the company's West Coast network, with more than 220 team members supplying Malt-O-Meal bag cereals, PEBBLES cereals, and more to a variety of retailers.

Responsibilities:
Utilities Technician, Maintenance Tech I or II Work Schedule:
PM Shift, 12-hour shifts, following a 2-2-3 schedule, resulting in built-in overtime pay and having every-other weekend off-work.
Maint Tech utilities has responsibility for the overall operation, performance, and uptime of plant utilities systems.
including:
steam, air, ammonia, glycol cooling, hot water systems, HVAC and associated equipment, piping and controls.
Capable of understanding and performing essential repairs, adjustments and preventative maintenance.
Responds appropriately to upset conditions.
Requires considerable judgment in determining work methods, performing daily tasks, and improving processes and procedures.
Support role for capital projects and contractor work.
Keeps the Maintenance Supervisor and Utilities Reliability Tech informed of issues, system upsets, equipment condition and needed repairs.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Monitors Equipment condition and reports issues to Maintenance Supervisor.
Maintains and demonstrates a high level of technical understanding regarding individual systems and their impact on plant rates and availability.
Performs, and supports timely and efficient equipment repairs, PMs, and testing in a safe manner.
Identifies, corrects or escalates performance conditions that negatively impact safety, quality, production rate, and equipment uptime.
Actively participates in root cause analysis and drives corrective actions through resolution.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of utility system requirements, including ability to determine resolution of upset conditions.
Records accurate data required for measuring overall performance of the utility systems.
Identifies and drives continuous improvement opportunities.
Participates in all related programs improving efficiency and related preventative maintenance programs.
Maintains boiler chemicals and feedwater chemistry at optimal conditions.
Maintains clean work areas, performs sanitation audits and develops action plans to correct problem areas.
Works in rotation as a member of a maintenance team performing equipment repairs and PM's.
Trains and coaches other employees learning new equipment, processes and/or procedures.
Participates in special projects, assignments, and trainings.
Assists in other areas of the utilities operation and plant maintenance upon request.
Qualifications:
Skills/ Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
3-5 years of manufacturing or related experience is a plus.
Advanced level of mechanical knowledge to include the ability to learn and operate all related utilities systems and equipment.
Minimum of Maintenance Tech 1 skill level required for position.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions.
Ability to provide work direction to ensure efficiency across the assigned unit.
Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to work scheduled shifts, standing, kneeling, climbing and walking for extended periods of the day; capable of repetitive gripping, pinching, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling with weight ranges up to 50 pounds; ability to perform repeated twisting, bending and reaching of upper and lower extremities; exposure to hot and/or humid environments, heights up to 30 ft.
